No doubt there is still a way to go, and I am here to help you get there. Currently, only 17% of employees in Germany feel emotionally connected to their employer, accoring to the most recent Gallup Engagement Index (Q4 2021). 40% of the respondents are either actively looking for a new job or at least open to new opportunities. “The Great Resignation” is a sign of our times, not a problem in some distant other country only. Gallup estimates the cost of this degree of employee turnover in Germany alone to be 93-115 Mrd. EUR each year!

Work related stress is a major driver of employee turnover

One of the key reasons for this development? We are 2 years into a pandemic that had many of us working under new and at times extreme circumstances. Many people are looking for a better balance in their lives. They question their career- and life goals, and realize they want to put more priority on “life” in their work-life-balance. They also tend to be less and less willing to make compromises in their job and tolerate a poor, unhealthy work environment.

In the Gallup-research mentioned above 38% of respondents said they had felt burned-out during the last 30 days due to work-related stress. That’s 2 out of 5 people! Among those who did not feel connected to their employer, this number was even 49%! For comparison, in 2018 and 2019 on average only 26% felt burned-out during the last 30 days.  

In customized consulting projects, I work with companies and leaders to create a more productive, healthy and effective work environment. The ingredients: listening carefully, openly addressing identified issues, creating and trying out new ideas, defining clear priorities, and making sure everyone is on board with the changes!    

How this could look like?

Projects range from very short, compact formats, e.g. a stand-alone strategy-, leadership- or team-workshop, to longer phases of cooperation, fully depending on the topic and individual situation of the client.

  • We are conducting leadership-workshops to give your leaders a platform to exchange experiences and ideas on how to lead people who are working under high pressure, and how they deal with chronic stress themselves.
  • We develop a new, modern and healthy leadership culture with your leadership team. And, if necessary, the tools that come with it, e.g. new elements of leadership development, or improved feedback instruments, e.g. intelligent bottom-up feedback.  
  • We are shaping organizational and cultural change processes in a way that people feel involved and are open to the future. While consulting on strategic issues, I also coach leaders on their behavior and communication to promote and support the change process.  
  • We are bringing your team to the next level. For example, we develop a common vision and mission for your team, further build trust and improve cooperation. Besides classical instruments for team development, these processes also benefit from my toolbox as a mental coach to achieve results.

This training from the “BetterBraincare program” is also available on a stand-alone basis for your team or company. The format is flexible – the training can be held as a 2-day face-to-face training, or it can be split up into several live-webinar-sessions, or a mix of both.

Training “Build your resilience”

Building resilience is about shaping your attitudes and views on both life and yourself. But while changing attitudes as well as behavioral- and thinking patterns are at the core of real, long term change, they are also among the hardest challenges in personal development. So how do we get there? Well, where well-intended tipps fall short, tools from mental training tapping into how our brain works can lead to breakthrough-results. 

The training „Build your Resilience“ from the BetterBraincare program is also available on a stand-alone basis. It contains one day of training either face-to-face or via live-webinar and one individual coaching-session of 1.5 hours per participant.
